The Coronavirus pandemic is causing already so many casualties all over the world. However, being many countries already in a complete lockdown, the economic repercussion will be huge.
Fortunately, some private citizens are stepping in not only to donate equipment to the hospitals but also to sustain families and communities in what will probably be the biggest recession in recent memory. Roger Federer and his wife have already announced a 1 million Swiss Franc donation to help families in Switzerland and now Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer announces the donation of $25 million!
The money will assist various communities in dealing with the societal and economic effects of the Coronavirus. They will be directed to Seattle, Los Angeles, and Southeastern Michigan. Also, $10 million will be pledged to the University of Washington to help to develop a vaccine for the virus.
