This Coronavirus pandemic is extremely tough to stop also because the Covi-19 is highly transmissible. Masks, gloves and proper outfits are essential to fight the spread. However, disinfecting hospitals and medical structures is also essential.
Akara Robotics (AR) devised a clinically proved robot that kills viruses and bacteria. Ultraviolet light (UVC) is already well-known for being effective against viruses and AR was effective in developing a robot using this technology. The name is Robot Violet, and it was already tested in a hospital in the Dublin area and it seems that it will be useful to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
The inventor, Dr. McGinn, commented: “This system could reduce dependency on the use of chemical-based solutions, which may be effective but requires rooms to be vacated for several hours during sterilization, making them impractical for many parts of the hospital,”

Testing Violet to ensure it wont interfere with hospital equipment – we're good! Huge thanks to John McAuley and his team at @Shielding_EMF for making this happen on short notice @HSELive @HSE_DA @roinnslainte pic.twitter.com/tWWNTXO2Ec
