During this Coronavirus pandemic, even when reopening one of the key issues is respecting the distance. This is the problem that some restaurant and delivery services are facing right now.
An interesting initiative was undertaken by a vegan restaurant in Dallas (El Palote Panadería in Dallas) that decided to use a robot while delivering its customer, even if they were located just in the parking lot.
According to Aaron Arias, whose parents own El Palote, “Honestly, the robot came from a desperate need to calm my anxiety about the current situation and give our customers something to laugh at when they come to pick up food.
“I call him the Palote Bot, but he doesn’t really have an official name. People seem to love the concept and it gets a good laugh from anyone that sees the little dude.”
It’s interesting to notice that the management tried to put a sort of human touch to the robot with a face and of course a cap. Everything would do!
