VIDEO. Policemen march with protesters following the George Floyd

Chris Swanson

The world is horrified by the senseless and inexplicable killing of George Floyd perpetrated by some policemen in Minneapolis.

Riots and lootings followed all over the US and it was heartbreaking seeing other policemen risking their lives against some vandals that intruded in the protests. The danger is that there is a new sentiment against the police while most of the cops are working to keep the community safe.

The Police with the protester

In Flint, MI, the police joined the protesters when the crowd marched towards them. Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson took his helmet off and put his baton on the ground to show their sympathy condemning what has happened.

“This is the way it’s supposed to be — the police working with the community. When we see injustice, we call it out on the police side and on the community side. All we had to do was talk to them, and now we’re walking with them. The cops in this community, we condemn what happened. That guy (Chauvin) is not one of us,” Swanson commented.

This is how the world should be.
